William Perry Fisher Attorney Asheville

Asheville Attorney Perry Fisher relocated with his family to Asheville in 1987 to practice law with the law firm of Van Winkle, Buck Wall, Starnes and Davis. The firm subsequently became recognized as the Van Winkle Law Firm and for several years was the oldest and largest law firm west of Charlotte, North Carolina. While at the Van Winkle Law Firm, Perry Fisher became a full partner and functioned on the firm's Executive Committee. Perry also obtained numerous honors and honors including being picked as the Litigator of the Year at the firm for a number of successive years. One of Perry Fisher's partners at the Van Winkle Law Firm at one point referred to Perry Fisher as the firm's "designated hitter" for all jury trials.


Perry Fisher was elected by his fellow to serve as President of the 500+ member 28th Judicial District Bar for 2001-2002. The 28th Judicial District Bar is a mandatory bar organization. Perry Fisher has been distinguished for many accomplishments in his service to his fellow attorneys.


In 2005, Perry Fisher was acknowledged by his legal peers across the State and nation as having the highest legal ability and the highest ethical rating through the Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating System. With this honor, Perry Fisher joined the approximate 4 % of attorneys in the country to have received the highest AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell. AV rated lawyers have been recognized by their peers for excellence in both legal ability and ethical practice. Perry Fisher has taken care of legal matters for clients throughout the State of North Carolina as well as many matters in other jurisdictions including matters from Montreal to Miami; Los Angeles to New York City and many places in-between. While licensed only in the State of North Carolina, many of Perry Fisher's clients request that he become admitted Pro Hac Vice for his trial assistance in other jurisdictions. Perry Fisher has worked as both local and supervising counsel to numerous corporations, including many Fortune 500 companies.



In 2007, Perry Fisher left the Van Winkle Law Firm to start his own law firm, Fisher Stark Cash, P.A.



Perry Fisher is an inaugural Barrister member of the Harry C. Martin Chapter of the American Inns of Court. The mission of the American Inns of Court is to foster excellence in professionalism, ethics, civility and legal skills. Perry Fisher has extensive trial experience and applies that experience to help his clients on a daily basis. At present, Perry Fisher has tried 137 jury trials lasting between two days and two weeks.
